I love shopping around the world: Barcelona

Hy guys! One of my favourite moment of the month is finally came! This time our globe brings us into the heart of Spain, in the colorful, charming and sparkling Barcelona, to the overwhelming rythm of flamenco. Chief town of Catalonia, Barcelona is for sure one of the most beautiful european capitals, full of a timless charm, old tradition and a cosmopolitan spirit that make it one of the most unique cities in the world, with an extravagant architecture, a delicious cusine and an exciting nightlife. And if it's not enough, it's a true paradise for shopping with stores, vintage markets and shopping malls. But let's proceed with order.

Shopping in Barcelona is one of those experiences that everyone should do at least once in life. But for doing it in the best way possible, it's necessary to know how to steer. In Calle Pelayo and Portal de l'Angel you'll find the most young, casual and fashionable stores of the city: from the inevitable Zara, Stradivarius, Bershka and Mango, passing by H&M, Benetton, Pull&Bear, Promod and many other.

You will find a piece of french luxury in Passeig de Gracia, the spanish corresponding to Champs Elysées. In front of the amazing Casa Batllò you'll find the sparkling boutiques of brands like Gucci, Armani, Tiffany, Versace and the other biggest names of fashion system. A unique chance to shop like a true shophaolic!

Perpendicular to the famous Rambla, in the heart of Raval, there's Calle Tallers, one of the most colorful and truthful neighborhood of Barcelona that reinvent the concepts of "vintage" and "alternative". It offers a the best of vintage and secondhand items, you'll find the prettiest stores of the catalan city. My personal suggest is Retro City (47, Calle Tallers) and Holala! (73, Calle Tallers), for high-quality, handpicked vintage clothes and accessories. Nearby I suggest you to take a look to Calle de La Riera Baixa where you'll find such lovely stores like Lailo (20, Calle de La Riera Baixa) De Farelee; Lullaby; Muy Interessante.

If you're the cheap lovers type you can't miss district Eixample, one of the biggest of the city. In here I suggest you to visit amazing stores like Desigual (49, Calle Bruc); Zabriskie Studio (198, Carrer de Mallorca); Humama (500, Carrer de Provenca); La Peca de Lupe (168, Carrer de Muntaner); Los Angeles (99, Comte Borrell); Poète (118, Enric Granados), is a clothing store with a exquisite bohemian parisian style. If you need a simple but elegant look this is the right place for you. In this fashionable area you'll also find Colmillo de Morsa (15, C/Vic), launched in 2009 by designers Elisabet Vallecillo and Javier Blanco is a shop characterized by a youthful and big energy, ideas and talent. A refined style between  modernity and traditionan that redefined the concept of "fashionista"; Mimotica Micola (274, Provença), classy and modern, cool and casual at the same time, is one of my favourite bag and shoes store of the city.

If refined originality is your middle name you will fall in love with Borne and Gràcia neighborhoods. Here you'll find Comptoir des Cotonniers (8, Carrer de Manresa); Paz Elorza (6, Carrer de Ros de Olano); My Fusion Store (10, Carrer d'Astùries); Merengue Shop (18, Plaça de la vila de Gràcia), the perfect combination of a workshop and a store. The creators believe in fair trade where the artisan or artist is recognized and rewarded for its work.

Othe cool destinations I suggest you to not miss are: La Boheme (49, Calle Ferran), in origin barber's shop is now a place where design, color and lightning are fused with pendant lights and mosaic floor. Here you can find local brands like Jordi Labanda, Avispada and Ciudad Campus; El Born (7, Plaça de la llana), a vintage store that will surprise you for the exclusive vintage pieces, the affordable prices and the delightful atmosphere.

In a city full of so cool places it's impossible to not mention shopping malls. Barcelona can count, in fact, some of the biggest and coolest malls of Europe. One of the is Diagonal Mar, full of fashion store and people, and El Corte Ingles, surely the most famous, that has other centers troughout the city and in which you'll find everything you're looking for. The style of interiors and the amazing view of Plaça Catalunya surely worth a visit.

This our little journey is over, I hope to be helpful and you like it.
I see you next time for another destination of shopping around the world. Bye!
